Description

ING Hellas announced on 9th January 2009, its plans to dismiss 50 to 100 employees by June 2009.

In line with the company's internal restructuring plan, ING Hellas will concentrate on local operations with pension and life insurance products and pull out of lossmaking health services - a plan that will involve these job cuts.

The General Confederation of Greek Workers regard this announcement as unacceptable, especially as it comes from a viable and profitable company. The Conferederation blames ING's Administrative Board for showing social irresponsibility.

ING is an international financial organisation offering insurance financial and banking services globally to 75 million customers - individuals, small and large companies, organisations and governments – in 50 countries.
