Description
South West Trains, a train operating company, has announced that it is to cut 660 jobs. The company attributed the cuts to reduced passenger growth. The RMT union condemned the job losses and did not rule out a ballot for industrial action. As of 4 February 2009, it is not known when the job cuts will be made, or how many staff the company will continue to employ.
