Description
Fabryka Maszyn Górniczych PIOMA, a producer of mining machines, is to dismiss 300 people (out of a total workforce of 520) at its factory in Piotrków Trybunalski by the end of March 2009. The company is one of the largest European producers of mining machines, including belt conveyors, suspended monorails floor railways, as well as devices and machines used, among others, in open-pit mining and maritime industries, output of mineral resources, crude oil and natural gas.
