The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Airline company Cimber Sterling is to create 200 jobs. The company, which bought the bankrupt Sterling Airlines in December 2008 intends to hire new pilots and those which had been dismissed by Sterling due to the bankruptcy will have high priority. Cimber Sterling announced on 7January that it had already employed 60 pilots and a minimum of 140 more will be taken on. According to manager Jørgen Nielsen, the company will 'expand agressively within the next year'.
