European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tulip, a meat processing firm, has announced that it is to close its factory at Bromborough on the Wirral with the loss of all 300 jobs. The company has stated that the factory cannot compete on cost with other sites. As of 11 January 2009, the company has not set a date for final closure.
