Cattles, a company that works in the financial services sector, has announced that it is to cut 1,000 jobs. The company, which brokers loans for people with poor credit histories, has been affected by the current difficulty in getting credit. 400 jobs will be lost at a call centre in Hull, with the remaining losses spread over the company’s 300 offices across the UK. As of 11 January 2009, the company has not announced when the jobs will be cut.
