European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The state-owned transport company NSB will employ around 1000 new train drivers and guards throughout 2009 according to an interview with the communications manager. The reason is a political decision to invest in railways, better tracks and new trains. A large increase of passengers is expected. To manage this increase, around 4-500 new engine drivers and 6-700 new guards will be employed.
