National Express, a coach and rail company, is to cut 750 jobs across the UK. The cuts are part of wider cost-cutting measures and will mainly affect back office staff. The company is considering both voluntary as well as compulsory redundancy schemes, while 50 train staff have already been offered voluntary redundancy. The job losses will be implemented in 2009.
