European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Chemical company Yara Lietuva suspended its production activities on 1 December 2008. The company has announced the closure of its plant in Kedainiai with the loss 140 jobs. The main reason for the closure of the plant is decreased demand for the company’s products.
Yara Lietuva belongs to the Yara International group, which is one of the largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers in the world.
