European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dairy Farms of Britain has announced that it is to close its site at Fole in Staffordshire with the loss of 250 jobs and in Portsmouth with the loss of a further 150 jobs.The company attributed the closure of the sites to rising energy costs and falling cream prices. As of 7 December 2008 a date for final closure has not been announced.
