Description
Lighthouse Caledonia, a fish processing company, has announced the closure of its plant at Marybank, near Stornaway, with the loss of 130 jobs. According to the BBC, Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil had stated that 'the company was in a weak financial position with a lot of debt’ and the company had also recently been fined GBP12000 for a fuel leak. The plant will be closed by the end of 2008.
