Description
Jaguar Land Rover, a car manufacturer, has announced that it is to cut 850 agency staff from its plants across the West Midlands. The cuts will affect engineering and IT staff at the company’s sites at Castle Bromwich, Solihull, Whitley, and Gaydon. The company, purchased by Indian company Tata from Ford in March 2008, stated that the jobs will be cut by the end of 2008. The cuts have been attributed to falling demand for cars in the current economic climate.
