European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Teba Industries, part of Teba Group NV from Holland, announced three steps of a collective dismissal process for 800 persons at Iasi factory, producer of clothing (Iasi county, North-East region). As result, the number of employees will decrease from 1,100 at present to 300 at the end of 2008. The reasons are related to increases of salaries and production costs and the competition with cheaper products from Asia.
