Description

Sevath, a food industry specialised in the canning and freezing of vegetables, is to cut 130 jobs in the location of Xanthi. The source revealed on 26 November 2008 that Sevath is going into liquidation, resulting in the loss of its overall workforce.

According to the source, due to a government’s recent regulation those employees close to retirement (about 60 people) will be placed, under special agreement, in Local Authority Organizations. The rest 90 employees will be transferred to various departments of the East Macedonia-Thrace Prefecture.
