Description
Cemex Polska, a cement and concrete producer, plans to cut 250 jobs by the end of 2009. The job losses will affect all of the company’s production facilities – the large factories in Rudniki by Częstochowa and in Chełmno. This restructuring will have repercussions in terms of job losses for other 40 smaller concrete makers around Poland. Cemex has been decreasing production in response to falling demand. The company currently employs 1,700.
