The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 18 November 2008, the airline Cityline announced that it would cut around 500 jobs by 2010. A company spokesperson explained that Cityline business was not profitable. Therefore the current workforce of around 2,500 staff is to be reduced by approximately 20%. The fleet will lose 14 jets. Cityline is a Lufthansa affiliate for which it serves European destinations.
