Description
Wolseley, a retailer that sells plumbing and building supplies, has announced that it is to close around 200 of its 1700 UK branches with the loss of 2300 jobs. The company attributed the cuts to the slowdown in housebuilding, and stated that the jobs would be cut “in the next few months”. As of 23 October 2008, no further information is available concerning which stores across the UK will close.
