European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
České dráhy (Czech Railways) has announced a restructuring plan resulting in 100 job cuts in the company's management board. The decision is attributed to the need to increase effeciency and save hundreds of million CZK a year. About 1,500 people across 53 Czech cities work in the Czech Railway's management board. As of November 2008, there is no information on when dismissals are to be implemented by.
