Description

Lear corporation has six units in Sweden. Two of them have given notices several times this year, and those are the sites in Trollhättan and in Torslanda (Gothenburg). As for Torslanda, three notices have been given this year, in total affecting 250 employees. The staff manager says that he hopes there will be no more notices now for a while. The production volume is entirely dependent on the situation at Volvo, so it is hard to tell if there will be more notices in the future. Lear Corporation is organized into the following segments: Global Electrical and Electron-ics Division, and Global Seating Systems Division. Lear is one of the world's largest sup-pliers of automotive seating systems, electrical distribution systems and electronic prod-ucts and they have operations in 35 countries. Lear has six operating units in Sweden, located in Färgelanda, Göteborg, Tanumshede, Tidaholm, Trollhättan and Vänersborg.
