The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
British Airways, a company that operates in the airline sector, has announced that 450 managerial positions are to be lost. The airline stated that 1,400 people were offered voluntary redundancy as part of their plan to reduce their costs, and that 450 people had taken the opportunity to leave the airline. As of 12 October 2008, no further information is available as to when, or from which sites, these managers will be leaving.
