Description
Focus DIY, a company that operates in the retail sector, has announced that it is to cut 750 jobs. One of the company’s two distribution centres, at Severnside, Bristol, will be closed, although the other distribution centre at Tamworth will remain open. As of 12 October 2008, it is not known when or whereabouts across the company’s 180 stores in the UK the remaining job cuts will occur, or how many staff will remain. The company attributed the decision to the current economic situation and the need to reduce costs.
