European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Television broadcaster ITV is planning to cut 430 jobs from its regional news services by the end of February 2009. The move is part of a restructuring plan that includes reducing the number of regional newsrooms from 17 to 9. The national union of journalists has threatened industrial action in response to the proposals indicating that the level of cuts is too high.
