Description

Sklárny Bohemia Poděbrady, a Czech glass producer, has closed its plant in Poděbrady due to the CZK 3 billion financial loss of the mother group Bohemia Crystalex Trading. All 500 workers are to lose their jobs and face an uncertain future. Czech glass industry is now in crisis due to the increase in energy prices, diminishing customer demands, and the strong CZK exchange rate.
