The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Finndomo is the largest manufacturer of small houses in the Nordic countries with a turnover of €215 million . The company has four factories in Sweden but the one in Hultsfred now will close. The reason for the restructuring is dramatically decreased sales, a 46 % reduction in the last quarter of 2008 alone.
In Hultsfred, the entire workforce of 66 employees will lose their jobs, five white-collar and the remainder blue-collar. In Hjältevad, 25 blue-collar workers of the 125 employees will lose their jobs. In Hässleholm, the factory's workforce of 220 will be reduced with the loss of 25 bluecollar jobs.
