The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
BauMax, an Austrian chain of retail stores for construction materials and household goods, has announced the opening of six new stores in 2009, resulting in the creation of approximately 660 new jobs (on average a domestic BauMax store hire 110 people). The investment is worth about EUR 60 million. The company has approximately 900 employees in Romania.
