Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Geci International SA, a France-based company specialised in providing high-technology engineering, consultancy and development services to civil and military agencies, has announced that the group will build a development center and production site on the former military base in Chambley (Meurthe-et-Moselle). The investment of EUR 100 million will generate 310 jobs and will be financed up to 25% by the State and Oseo. The assembling of some 72 cargo aircraft Skyland is scheduled for 2012. The Company's solutions are focused on improving performance (speed, lifespan), improving comfort and security, and ensuring compliance with market standards and regulations. Geci International operates principally in the fields of aviation, space, marine, propulsion and land transport: in aviation, the company provides solutions for a variety of aircrafts; in the area of space, Geci International works with satellites, missiles and launchers; in the field of propulsion, this encompasses gas turbines and vehicle engines; its land transportation work encompasses solutions for cars, trucks, high-speed trains, subways and military and industrial vehicles and, finally, in the field of marine, it is involved in naval architecture, designs and execution.
