The two IT companies, Asseco Poland and ABG, are currently in the process of merging. The newly created ABG company, which is entirely owned by Asseco Poland, has announced that it is to make 170 ABG employees redundant (out of a current workforce of 883). The affected employees work in back-office capacities (accounting, finance, administration, logistics, human resources, and marketing). With a total workforce of 2,221, Asseco Poland manufactures software for the agricultural, telecoms, health care, and public utility sectors.
