Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
BAE Systems Bofors forms part of BAE Systems AB, together with BAE Systems Hägglunds and BAE Systems C-ITS. BAE Systems Bofors mostly produces missiles and ammunition. The company has announced that it is to lay off 80 workers at its Karlskoga plant.
The background to the reduction is a need to restructure in order to better equip the company to meet the demands of the global defence market. While some areas, like the affected unit in Karlskoga (Bofors), will be reduced in numbers, the company will also be searching for employees to fill new positions in other areas.
The international Group, BAE Systems, is a global defence and aerospace company delivering a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, information technology solutions and customer support services.
