Description
Servisair Manchester, a company that operates in the aviation services sector, has announced that up to one hundred and eighty jobs, including check-in staff, baggage handlers and ground staff as well as management positions, are to be cut at Manchester Airport. The company attributed the cuts to the expected downturn in flights over the coming months, and also the collapse of the Zoom airline. The company is currently inviting applications for voluntary redundancy, with the jobs cuts expected to be complete by 13 November 2008. No further information is available on how many staff will remain at Manchester.
