Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), a local subsidiary of the American group, provider of information technology and call centre services, announced its intention to hire 500 persons in Brasov call centre (Brasov county, Centre region) by the end of 2008. At present in Brasov, the company has 100 employees. The monthly wages for entry-level personnel in call centres are between 200 and 400 euros, according to the skills, foreign language knowledge and the location of the site. One third of services provided is for the Romanian market.
