European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Portugal Telecom (PT), a global telecommunications operator, announced that it is to create 1, 2000 jobs with the creation of a new call centre in Santo Tirso, which is in a high unemployment area. In the recruitment process, priority will be given to candidates who completed secondary education. The company will invest over 5 million EUR in the new call centre.
