Description
The Identity and Passport Service, the public sector organisation responsible for issuing passports in the UK, has announced that it is to close its passport processing centre in Glasgow by the end of the year with the loss of 114 jobs from the 284 currently employed. The Identity and Passport Service said the decision was necessary due to falling demand for passports.
