Description

Renault, the French automobile manufacturer, has announced that it is to dismiss 5,000 to 6,000 persons out of 47,000 employed in Europe due to the "deterioration of the macroeconomic environment". The management said that the reorganisation will be implemented on a voluntary basis. Apart Sandouville in France, the direction did not give any information concerning the sites which will be affected by the reorganisation.
