The shareholders of the Violetta Crystal Glass Works of Stronie ÅšlÄ…skie
have decided to wind down the company, unable to cope with growing gas and electricity prices, upward pressures on wages, and the strong złoty. 460 persons now employed by Violetta will be made redundant. The plant makes an assortment of products from blown, coated, painted, and hand-engraved glass.
