Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Air Liquide, the French producer of technical and medical gases, has announced the creation of approximately 100 new jobs by the end of 2009 with the development of a gas condensation plant nearby Gdańsk. The plant is expected to be operational in 2010. Air Liquide has a workforce of 200 and serves over 1,200 customers. Its products are used, among other applications, for carbonating soft drinks and food packaging; Air Liquide also makes medical oxygen, ultra-clean gases used in semiconductor production, and hydrogen for desulphurisation of fuels.
