Description
In February 2008 Karbonia PL, a subsidiary of New World Resources (NWR), a Dutch energy holding company, applied for licence to mine coal in Dębieńsko. NWR expects to start construction of a new coal mine in 2008 and continue for five years. The mine is expected to create 3,000 new jobs and produce 4 million tons of coal a year.
