Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Odense Steel Shipyard, owned by A.P. Moller-Maersk, announced on 4th June that the shipyard will have to cut staff by 250 persons due to economic pressure. The recent years sales have declined. Before the decision was announced the employees and the management discussed how savings and cut downs in the company could be done in the least painful way. There is no information on the total number of employees.
