Description
Europe's largest pig abattoir, Danish Crown, announced on 2nd June 900 redundancies with two plants in Vojens and Nykøbing Mors closing and the capacity at its Holstebro plant being reduced by 40%. Danish Crown blames the jobs losses on the bad economy in the sector and the slow treatment by municipalities of environmental approvals. There is no information about the total number of employed.
