European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Beaulieu International intends to close its custom-made carpet manufacturing plant located in Wielsbeke, West-Vlaanderen with a loss of 109 jobs. The management of the group explained its decision by huge losses due to competition with firms from Asia or the Middle-East and the increasing cost of rough materials.
