Description
Flextronics, a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider specialised in the delivery of complete design, engineering and manufacturing services to automotive, computing, consumer digital and mobile OEMs. Due to internal restructurings at Ericsson AB (described in another factsheet) and their resulting reduction measures, Flextronics, to whom Ericsson is a big client, is to close its factory in Östersund. The closure means that 400 jobs will be cut, which represent a great blow to the city of Östersund who has lost many jobs lately.
