Sogefi, an Italian group worldwide leader in the car vehicles components and specialised in filtration systems and suspensions flexible components, is to close its plant located in Mantua, with the consequent loss of 230 jobs. The company has taken this decision in order to offshore its production to other plants located in Slovenia, Spain and Wales. The trade unions reacted to the company’s decision by going out on strike and organising several actions of protest.
