Tesco, a multi-national group that operates a series of non-specialized retail outlets, has announced that it is to recruit 300 workers at a call centre site that it operates in Dundee. The site has operated for a number of years, and last year received 10 million calls from customers in the UK. As of May 2008, there is no information on the number currently employed at the site. In 2007, Tesco implemented 400 job losses at another site in Dundee when it relocated work at a distribution centre in Dundee to Livingstone.
