European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
CD- and DVD-producer Mediamotion was declared bankrupt on 27 February.The plant in Uden employs 450 employees, who in peak season are joined by 600 temps. Background is the fast drop in demand for CDs and DVDs. The employment effects are still unclear as the two receivers are investigating possibilities for a restart of the plant.
