European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
132 employees at the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca Spain will lose their jobs as part of a restructuring process. The announcement was made on 3 April 2008 by the company management to its board and employees. Although the jobs cuts will be made in all areas, they will especially affect the sales department. The restructuring is part of AstraZeneca global plan and the company is expected to cut about 3000 jobs worldwide in the next three years.
