Description

Bridgestone Corporation, one of the biggest tyre and rubber manufacturers in the world, has announced that it is to create 200 new jobs by opening its first fully-automated production facility in Europe in an attempt to meet growing demand for high-performance, large rim-sized car tyres. The new plant is located in Tatabánya, about 50 km to the West from Budapest. Production of high-performance and large-rim sized radial tyres for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles is scheduled to reach 8,000 units a day in 2009. The value of the investment is €190 million.
