Description

Bayer CropScience France, the leader on the French market for agrochemical products, is to cut 101 jobs by 2010 at its research centre and commercial network in Lyon-Vaise (European headquarters of its agrochemicals division). 1,500 cuts are foreseen worldwide.

In France the job losses mostly concern the supply chain, which should be relocated to Germany. According to the group, the restructuring was required in order to cope with the recent societal and regulatory trends in France. Management stated that most of the employees affected would avail of early retirement and internal redeployment.
