Description

The manufacturer of steel and aluminium products, Inha Works, concluded its personnel negotiations in its Ähtäri Factory on 23rd of April. Due to profitability reasons Inha Works will shut down the manufacturing hinges in the Ähtäri factory and make 60 to 80 employees redundant.

The personnel negotiations that started in March 2008 concerned 80 blue-collar and white-collar employees in the hinges production unit.

Inha Works has a long tradition of manufacturing hinges and forged products. Rail fasteners have been made at the Works since the nineteenth century. Inha Works is the leading supplier of rail fasteners in the Nordic countries. The forged products range consists of Pandrol clips, Hey Back fastening clips, Rail screws and Rail anchors.

Inha Works employs total of 306 workers and is part of Fiskars Corporation.
