The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Family owned store Chadds will close in June with the loss of 128 jobs. It announced that it was finding it increasingly difficult to make a profit and that it had reluctantly agreed to sell its premises to a developer. The premises was described as cramped and inefficient and managing director Kirsty Chadd indicated that both the out of date premises and the increased competition in the retail sector had contributed to the firms inability to offer a competitive service.
