Description

Setra is the biggest manufacturer of wooden products in Sweden, with sawmills and refineries in 18 Swedish towns. Setra is now planning to reduce a total of 150 jobs in five of its sawmills (Lövholmen, Färila, Heby, Nyby and Kastet), two of its refineries (Valbo and Skutskär) and the distribution unit in Katrineholm, during the last half of the year 2008. The reduction is due to unusually high levels of stored wood in Europe after last year's storm which has led to extremely high levels of storage at Setra. The company says that they are hoping to be able to recreate the jobs again in 2009.
