European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Niemyer, a tobacco manufacturer, announced on 5 February 2008 that it is to cut 126 at its plant in Groningen. The management attributes this restructuring programme to the need to increase efficiency. The plant currently employ 425.
